About
Kayleigh Watts-Harrison
Creator of Caretta Pilates
Movement has always been such a huge part of my life and Pilates showed me how to find joy in it again. I qualified as a Pilates instructor back in 2018 and since then I’ve had the privilege of meeting and connecting with so many wonderful people.
Caretta Pilates is more than just movement. It’s about community, connection and moving in a way that helps us to feel good.
The meaning behind the name:
Caretta Pilates was named after the loggerhead sea turtle and symbolizes flowing, natural movement. I came up with the name during a trip to Bali after spending the day at a turtle rescue and rehabilitation centre learning more about sea turtles and getting to release some back into the wild. I also have fond memories of a sailing trip in Greece with loved ones where I swam alongside sea turtles for the first time. Looking back, these incredible creatures have been a constant symbol in my life and represent not only the joy I find in movement but also my love for swimming in the open ocean.
